Shutting Off the Water in Condominiums
Shutting off the water in one condominium unit often requires shutting off the water to a stack of condominiums, and in some cases, the entire building. For that reason, most condominium associations are adopting a rule similar to the following:
All owners must provide the management company at least a 24 hour email notice of their intention to shut off the water when one or more other units will be affected. Water may not be shut off before 9:00 am or after 5:00 pm. Violation of this rule will result in a fine of $250.
